About Us

Manchester Thyroid Centre is based at Spire Manchester. Our aim in to provide a comprehensive service to people worried about issues with their thyroid. We cover all aspects of thyroid health, from thyroid dysfunction to thyroid lumps. We are based at sites throughout Manchester and Cheshire so that you can be seen at a location of your choice. We work closely with local GPs to provide education so that common and non life threatening conditions can be managed safely in the community. We have close links with excellent radiologists, pathologists and oncologists so that whatever your concern is, we have you covered. Please click our names to read more.

Jay Goswamy

Jay is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat, Head, Neck and Thyroid Surgeon. He is Undergraduate Lead and was Clinical Director from 2017-2023 at Manchester Foundation Trust and The Christie and has clinics at Spire Manchester and BMI The Alexandra. His aim is to provide comprehensive, friendly and cutting edge care to all of his patients.

Annice Mukherjee

Annice is a Consultant Endocrinologist with almost 30 years experience. She led the thyroid service at Salford Royal Hospital for 12 years and now works at Spire Manchester. She is passionate about delivering outstanding, individualised and patient centred care.

Rohit Kumar

Rohit is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat, Head, Neck and Thyroid Surgeon. He is the Head and Neck MDT lead at Manchester Foundation Trust and The Christie and has private clinics at Spire Manchester, Spire Hale and Spire Regency.
